Ivan has for many years been top rated in banking and finance law by “Best Lawyers in America”, and as a result, he has been recognized for his expertise in banking and bank litigation by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and other publications.

During the course of his distinguished career, Ivan has served as Deputy Superintendent and Counsel to the New York State Banking Department, Special Counsel to the New York State Senate Banks Committee, law clerk to U. S. District Court Judge Frederick van Pelt Bryan and on the Board of Directors of several banks.

Ivan specializes in bank regulatory matters but also has extensive experience in the mergers and acquisitions, corporate, employment, commercial lending, and litigation areas. He has lectured for the Practicing Law Institute and to various trade associations and is often quoted in the financial press on current banking issues.
