Biography

Meryl P. Sherwood is Of Counsel at Bartko Pavia LLP in the Real Estate Practice. Meryl advises clients on a broad range of matters, including commercial leasing, acquisitions and financing, with particular emphasis on retail leasing for international fashion and luxury goods clients. Meryl has represented numerous fashion tenants in establishing their flagship locations in New York City, including stores on Madison Avenue, Fifth Avenue, in Soho and the Meatpacking District, as well as malls throughout the country. In addition, Meryl advises individuals and businesses on the acquisition and financing of residential, commercial and investment properties. During her more than 35 years of practice, Meryl has developed long-term working relationships with landlords, lenders and their counsel which facilitate the negotiation and closing of transactions on behalf of clients. Meryl is also fluent in French.
